Not every patient or procedure is appropriate for an ambulatory surgery center. A patient's medical history, anesthesia needs, overall health, type of procedure, and other individual factors are considered when determining the safest and most appropriate location for surgery.
Patients who require a hospital setting can still receive surgical care from Dr. El-Amin. When appropriate, hospital-based procedures are performed at Northside Hospital Duluth or Northside Hospital Forsyth.
The surgical location is determined based on each patient's individual clinical needs, the planned procedure, and the resources required to provide appropriate care.
